Welcome to RSA!

Renaissance School of the Arts is an inclusive co-operative community for homeschooling families, and others with flexible weekday schedules.

We have been offering social activities and secular classes in the Suffolk/ Isle of Wight, VA area since 2004.

RSA believes that artistic endeavors foster growth and success in all aspects of learning.

Our inclusive community celebrates self-expression and enables students to discover and develop their own unique potential.

For the 2024-25 School Year, RSA will be offering a wide variety of in-person classes for ages 3 years through adult, and a few online classes. Each class has a separate Class Fee due each month directly to the instructor. Some classes also have additional Supply Fees.

Class descriptions currently posted are from 2023-24 and for reference only. Class Enrollment is not currently open. Last year's classes are posted in the "Class Enrollment" tab. Click on a Class title to view the Description.

"2023-24 Class Schedules" for Tuesdays and Thursdays, and "Class Lists by Age" are in the Menu tabs. Please note that we provide these images for convenient reference. They do not update in real time. The most up-to-date and accurate information about classes is always in the "Class Enrollment" tab.

Class spaces are limited, enrollment is first-come-first-served and getting a spot in a specific class is not guaranteed.

We're excited for another fun year of learning all kinds of interesting things together, plus RSA's other community activities like Spirit days, Yearbook photos, performances and more!

2023-24 Classes run Sept 11 - April 25.

Thanksgiving Break: Nov 20-24

Winter Break: Dec 11 - Jan 5

Spring Break: March 4-8

RSA classes run September through April. Each class meets one day per week, either Tuesday or Thursday. All classes meet in-person in North Suffolk, VA. Some classes are also available online live, these are marked Hybrid {H}. Each class has a separate fee which is paid monthly directly to the instructor.

Registration Information

RSA Registration is now closed.

Registration will open later this summer.

2024-25 Registration Information will be available soon.

To enroll in RSA classes you must first be a Registered Member:

1. Read and agree to abide by the current Member Handbook.

2. Complete a Member Application.

3. We will email you when your Application has been received, with details of how to complete Registration. You will also need to complete your Family Profile, submit the Liability Waiver, pay RSA's annual family Membership Fee, and sign up for your Volunteer Job. All Families are required to do at least 1 Volunteer position.

Note: The Family Registration Fee is non-refundable. If you have questions regarding RSA which may affect your decision to register, please contact us at [email protected] prior to paying the Family Registration Fee.
