Prepare with Pedro
The Prepare with Pedro presentation is a 45 minute story time with Pedro the penguin and his friend, Mia, that teaches Pre-K - 2nd graders how to stay safe from home fires. We discuss what a smoke alarm is and how important it is to "get low and go", check their smoke alarms, and establish a meeting place that all members of the household will go if there is a home fire.
Pillowcase Project
The Pillowcase Project is a 60 minute interactive presentation designed for 3rd - 5th graders to educate students on home fire safety. For this presentation, we discuss the most common hazards in the United States – particularly home fires - and how they can stay prepared for and know what to do in case of an emergency. We teach students how to use coping skills to help manage stress which are also practical for everyday situations. We help students gain confidence in the abilities to be prepared and discuss how they can use their knowledge to act as advocates for emergency preparedness in their homes and communities.
RSA summer Park Days are on Thursdays from 1-4pm (weather permitting)
Visitors are welcome, invite your friends! We suggest bringing a chair, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, games or whatever your family needs to enjoy an afternoon outdoors. Park Days are casual and laid back, so come as you are, when you can, and just have fun! We hope to see you soon!
