Course Proposals 2020-2021

* indicates a required answer.

Thank you for your interest in teaching at Renaissance School of the Arts!

Are you interested in teaching at RSA? Please email rsatidewater@gmail.com for more information about the organization. Although the deadline for 2020-2021 course proposals has passed, if you have an idea for a class, please submit it!

Additional Information:

  • RSA instructors are independent contractors, not employees of RSA, and as such are responsible for their own taxes.
  • RSA's school year typically runs from the second week of September through the end of April, with a winter break from mid-December through the first week of January.
  • Should you be offered a teaching slot, you will be asked to pay a one-time instructor fee (the 2019-2020 fee was $30) to cover the cost of a background check and other administrative expenses.
  • You may also be asked to donate your time, skills, and services in the form of (for example) assistance at an RSA-sponsored special event and/or a pro bono slot in your class (if enrollment is over a certain threshold). Specific details will be provided at the time you are offered a class (or classes).
  • Proposals for arts-related classes are especially welcomed, including but not limited to those that approach academic subjects from an arts perspective.
  • If you have questions, please contact RSA's Executive Director, Norma Andes, at rsatidewater@gmail.com.
