PARKING

If you arrive in the morning, avoid the right-most side of the parking lot (as you look toward the buildings from the parking lot); a school bus enters the parking lot around 8:45 a.m.

Parking in the circle in front of the SEA building is allowed. Cars must park to the right side, and must leave enough room for cars to travel around the circle.

SET-UP/CLEAN-UP

If tables and chairs are being set up when you arrive, consider yourself part of the set-up crew! This is an all-hands-on-deck operation (the same goes for closing at the end of the day).

As you will see, it takes many hands to set up our school each Thursday, and many hands to clean up at the end of the day. There's also plenty to be done in between. Please check with the Front Desk attendants or Admin Staff to find a task or two with which you can help, even if you already have another volunteer assignment. And feel free to offer help wherever you see a need; we appreciate and need all our members to operate this large and wonderful program!

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Please organize your belongings so that others may join you at your table. We don’t have a lot of extra space in terms of tables and chairs. If you see someone looking for a space to sit, please invite them to sit at your table!

Make Nametags! We will have name tags and markers at the Front Desk; please make one for you and each child.

Have Questions? Ask someone at the Front Desk, or anyone wearing an RSA t-shirt. We will be glad to help.


SCHEDULE / CLASSROOMS

Check the Classroom Location board (near the Front Desk) to find out where your classes are meeting. Schedules will also be available at the Front Desk. RSA classes are held in three different buildings:

  • Family Life Center (FLC)
  • Sanctuary, Education, and Administration Building (SEA)
    • From the parking lot looking at the buildings, the SEA building is on the left, and the FLC is on the right.
  • CE&H Ruritan Building (1600 Eclipse Drive, around the corner from Ebenezer UMC).

INSTRUCTOR PAYMENTS

Payments are made directly to instructors, not through the RSA website. Each instructor has a folder in the "Instructor" file box at the Front Desk. Checks should be made payable to the instructor, not to RSA (**) and placed in his/her folder. If you are paying with cash, please put it in an envelope labeled with your name and the instructor's name, and give it directly to the instructor. Some instructors accept PayPal; please check with them.

FOOD AND CONCESSIONS

You are welcome to bring food with you from home. We have access to a microwave in the kitchen (to be used by those 16 & up only). In addition, RSA offers assorted beverages (soda, juice boxes, water, coffee, tea), and snacks for sale. You can also purchase food locally at The Market (within walking distance) and Jeb's Market.
